This Is Why We Are Never Buying Another Real Christmas Tree

I thought these pictures were so cute of Laney and Saylor. Laney always says I want to pet Saylor or Ava or Ali. Shes so cute. Saylor is the tiniest baby, she has the smallest legs. I was changing her diaper and was afraid I was going to snap her legs in two. She is so sweet and has the prettiest eyes. She's so precious. We love her!!

Christmas 2008

Every year on Christmas we go to Ryan's parents house and have a huge brunch with the whole family. It so nice to be able to get together with everyone and celebrate Christmas. The kids love going there. Here are some random shots of Christmas morning at our house. We took our camera to Ryan's parents but always forget to take pictures. And that's where I found my camera.

Christmas Eve 2008

We usually go to my Dad's house on Christmas Eve but this year they decided to come over to our house. It was a nice change. We had a small dinner and some chips and dips and had a really nice visit. Here are some random pictures from the night.

I Can't Find My Camera

I have no idea where its at. I have looked every where. Once I find it I will post pictures of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Our Sad Tree

Our poor tree, from lack of watering, it is slowing beginning to die. You can tell from looking at these pictures that the bottom half is sagging down. Our ornaments keep falling off it and the bottom half is touching the carpet. Ryan is afraid to turn the lights on for fear that it will go up in flames. I guess this is why we have always had a fake tree. I told Ryan that we will need to go to the after Christmas sale and get a fake tree. Target has a awesome black one that I want, so hopefully I can get it at a rippin deal.

The Twins + Four

We watched my sister in law Brittany's 4 month old twins and her 3 year old and 1 year old sons on Saturday, in addition to my 7 year old and 3 year old daughters. So we had 6 kids all day long. I had to mentally prepare myself for a week. I was bracing for the worst. And I was pleasantly surprised. It was much easier than I thought it was going to be. Minus the fact that Tate kicked Laney in the head and Ashton jumped on Avi's tummy, things went great. The twins were so sweet and slept most of the time and when they were awake they would just lay there and hardly make a peep. It was kinda hard because one would be asleep and the other one would wake up and be hungry. I don't know how Brittany does it. 4 kids under the age of 3. She must take some really good pills or just has a lot of patience, I think its the latter.






I think this picture is so funny. Avi made little pieces of paper that said this is Ali, this is Ava and layed them by them so we wouldn't get confused.

Old Pictures

I got a new printer/copier/scanner at the after Thanksgiving sale and I have been going through a bunch of my old pictures from when I was a little girl. I came across this picture of me in the tub when I was about 2 and I cant believe how much Laney looks like me. I showed Laney this picture and she thought is was her.




I also came across this picture of me and my Grandpa at the Grand Canyon when I was about 3. This is one of my favorite pictures.

Christmas Decorations

This year we decided to get a real tree. There is nothing better than walking into the house and smelling a fresh pine tree. It was so big we had to cut some off the top. I'm sure it will be dead before Christmas since we got it so early, but the kids were so excited to put it up. Once we got it all decorated Laney said its Christmas now!! She hasn't quite grasped the concept of Christmas yet.

World Fair

Avi's school had a World's Fair Program. They were assigned a country which was Guatemala and then they had to pick something from the country to write a report on. Avi chose holidays. So if anyone has any questions on any holiday in Guatemala ask Avi she knows them all. Each grade had to do a performance and her class did a dance to Boot Scootin Boogie. She did a great job up there on stage. And she did a great job on her report. Were so proud of her!!

Bowling League

Me and Ryan joined a bowling league that meets every Wednesday night. I have been wanting to join a league for a while and then the opportunity game up to be in a league with a bunch of our friends and we couldn't pass it up. Its so fun!! I have to brag a little bit. I am the best bowler on my team. I scored a 170 last Wednesday. That's the best game I have ever bowled. As of last week we were number one in the league!! I think maybe I am going to quit my job and join the pro bowling tour. Ha Ha.

Letter from the President

Avi wrote a letter to the President and has been asking everyday if she has gotten a letter back. Finally she received his letter back in the mail. She was so excited. It was funny because there was a picture of him with the letter and Avi said who's that? I guess she has never seen what he looks like.

Facebook

I love Facebook!! Up until yesterday I had a page but I didnt really use it. But I started searching and found so many people that I know on there that I am now addicted and cant quit looking at it. Its so fun to reconnect with people from high school or old friends that you have lost contact with. Its kinda of confusing at first but I am getting used to it. I love that I can look at all my friends profiles and see what other people have written. If any of you are on Facebook look me up. Oh and Ryan has a profile on Facebook too.

Phish

Its the greatest day of Ryan's life. Phish is reuniting. You would think the birth of his children or marrying his beautiful wife would fall into that category. As long as I have known Ryan this has been his favorite band. Personally I don't think they are that good. There's only so much jamming I can stand and Phish can jam on for a half hour straight. They have stupid songs. Karina's Got A Lumpy Head???? Ryan told me I have to see them live. So I guess if they are going to go on tour I may as well go see them. Maybe I will learn to like them and become a Phish Phan.

Pumpkins

Ryan decided to grow pumpkins this year out in our backyard. He planted them and put some miracle grow on them. This is what he picked on Saturday. They were huge. Its taken Avi 4 days to cut through the biggest one. They aren't very pretty. He said he should have gone out there and rotated them so they weren't so lopsided. Next year hopefully they will be nice and round.
